About Aberdeen Seafood & Dim Sum

Aberdeen Seafood & Dim Sum is one of the chinese restaurants listed in White Plains, New York. The business is registered at 3 Barker Ave, White Plains, NY 10601; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as seafood restaurant, dim sum restaurant, restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in White Plains; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in New York are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 12–3 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (914) 288-0188. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, aberdeenwhiteplains.com.

Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 965 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinese restaurants in White Plains.

Disappointment - and we have already lowered our expectation by not benchmarking it against places in Flushing , but still it is disappointing and here is why. Ordered a few things on the way back from a morning activity and here is the score card 1 - shrimp crepe noodle (steamed rice crepe filled with shrimp) , this isn’t freshly made but to be fair most of them aren’t , just steamed upon order, but the rice crepe is way too thick - 2 stars and I am generous 2 - beef crepe noodle, more or less the same but gave it a 3 star as the ground beef filling is hand chopped (better texture) and not made with machine grinding, but it needs a bit of minced / finely chopped celery and it was missing that. 3 - salt and pepper pork chop. The taste is self if actually close to authentic , although a bit more pepper would help but the batter was too thick (see picture) , for 22 bucks this gets a 3 star and again it’s generous 4 - E-fun noodle with chicken. We ordered dry e-fun (sautΓ©ed and not braised) but man this is some tough dry e fun and it’s not fun … give it a 2-3 min boiled to soften it a little bit , it tasted like it just came out of a frozen package and was so tough and salty alth

Dim sum at Aberdeen Seafood and dimsum Restaurant πŸ₯’ We came for first service and the line was LONG β€” but honestly very well worth the wait. The place filled up quickly and every table was packed. If you’re planning to go, make sure to reserve early, especially during peak hours. This spot is very popular in White Plains and you can see why β€” the walls are literally filled with awards from Westchester Magazine, Google, and TripAdvisor. Everything came out hot, fresh, and super satisfying. Classic Cantonese comfort food, perfect for sharing. There were 5 of us and we totally over ordered… but no regrets! Here’s what we got: β€’ White Rice β€” $2.00 β€’ Jellyfish with Pork β€” $20.95 β€’ Har Gow (Shrimp Dumplings) β€” $8.95 β€’ Pork Siu Mai β€” $7.95 β€’ Fried Dough Noodle Crepe β€” $6.95 β€’ Shrimp Noodle Crepe β€” $8.95 β€’ Roast Pork Noodle Crepe β€” $7.95 β€’ Mochi (Peanuts & Coconut) β€” $5.95 β€’ Kung Pao Chicken β€” $20.95 β€’ Sweet & Sour Chicken β€” $20.95 β€’ Crispy Shrimp, Squid & Fish β€” $32.95 β€’ Beef Chow Fun β€” $17.95 β€’ Young Chow Fried Rice β€” $17.95 β€’ Hot & Sour Soup β€” $5.00 β€’ Wonton & Egg Drop Soup β€” $5.00 β€’ Bean Curd Szechuan Style with Meat β€” $18.95 β€’ SautΓ©ed Spinach with Garlic β€” $18.95 Total with tip

Very disappointing experience. I brought my service dog and even offered documentation, but the manager refused to even look at it and insisted that only dogs wearing a β€œservice vest” are allowed. That is simply not correct β€” service animals are not required to wear a vest, and businesses cannot deny them based on that. The manager also kept staring at us in a very uncomfortable and unprofessional way after refusing us. They also added a 3% credit card surcharge. While there is a small notice at the register, it is placed in a way that you won’t see it unless you walk all the way in and turn toward the counter β€” meaning customers don’t know about it before ordering. On top of that, the suggested tip is calculated on the total including tax, which is not customer-friendly. Overall, the experience felt misleading and unwelcoming. I would not recommend this place.

Ordered takeout from here and it was a great experience. Located next to the White Plains Marriott with access through the lobby, and parking is available on the street or in a nearby lot. We went with a variety of dishes to share, including dim sum, beef with broccoli, chicken with vegetables, Kung Po shrimp, and pork dumplings. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and portions were generous. Even as takeout, the food held up really well. It’s easy to see why this place is known for its dim sum. Looking forward to dining in next time, but definitely a solid option for takeout as well.

Always a great experience at this outstanding Cantonese eatery. Ricky is a friendly host and the waitstaff is accommodating. We went for the 2026 Lunar New Year. Soup, fish, noodles, vegetables and the star of the evening Peking duck...all great tasting! It's a must go to for traditional Chinese food. Go for dim sum too! Update: had dim sum for lunch and it was delicious!Located inside the Residence Inn, parking validated.
